Artist's Description
The title is not at all strange to me; you see, I was hiking through the back roads on the island of Corfu when I heard an opera aria I really liked coming from the thicket. I turned down a gravel road to get closer to where the sound was coming from and stood there enjoying the sight along with the sound. I would have never taken that turn otherwise nor would I have found this lovely spot to paint many times over in different styles and I knew the title of the painting before I touched the brush to the paper.
