Artist's Description

As a child I would spend a lot of my summers at Coney Island. I lived in Brooklyn and would ride my bike there. I felt bad when I returned there a number of years ago and saw it like this. I knew it would soon be torn down and decided to pay homage to it with this intricately difficult painting that took over a month to complete. The coaster is gone now but I hope it will live on here.

About Frank SantAgata

Frank SantAgata

Throughout five decades of fine art and design, my work has always been an expression of my affection for my subjects; "nature and nostalgia." I've always been close to old things because I love and appreciate the fine craftsmanship and hand work that went into their creation. I'm equally enamored with nature for its inherent perfection and consistency in a world otherwise altered and controlled by mankind! Hope you enjoy the view! If and when something touches your heart, I will be pleased if you take a bit of my work into your home to enjoy and share with others. Thanks and Best Wishes, Frank Sant'Agata
